Day 4 – Indianapolis to Piney Point

The DC Beltway after nine hours of driving with one headlight – yes it looked just like this!

The last leg of the cross-country drive was incidental, short of a few near death potentials due to idiot drivers – something we go through daily, most often unaware. It was a long drive, but I did not care as it was the last day of the journey. Thank God America is only 3,000 miles across instead of 4,000 – day five might have killed me for sure.

All was fine until I hit the DC Beltway – then things got as pictured above. Highway 5 out of DC was no piece of cake, as there were still too many late night commuters heading home. Yet the last leg of the journey was simply relaxing – I made home – again. It feels great!

Tomorrow is a day of total rest and relaxation. Then . . . wow, it hurts my head to even think about it! Goodnight!
