Heat Wave in the Vast Plains of Nowhere

Classic Beginning in Japanese Cuisine  – Soup & Salad

If it is the middle of winter, and you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, two days of plus 60° F is something to crow about. But so what, as alas, there is nothing to do here.

Well, I did walk a lot to get some much need vitamin D. I did eat out twice (rare for me) and I did, out of total boredom, watch the Grammys.

sashimi

If one wants to totally forget one is living in a place where there are more cattle than people – eat raw fish!

There are two categories of old farts that show up for the event – Gods like Sir Paul and everyone else trying to preserve their little place in history before they die.

As far as the new “artists” I don’t have a clue, and likely don’t care. Brandy Clark, I see, was snubbed for two awards – understandable as she tells country life as it really is. Some chubby English kid did win twice for something. Good for him.

That’s it – time to sleep!
