Home Alone II

Last night in the pool – a pool is quintessential Californian – anywhere else it is just a pool!

I moved out of my house in El Dorado Hills today – with much regret and hopes to return to California when my work is finished in Querétaro, México. My buddy Raul helped me move the remainder of stuff out and into storage, including my little 325xi, which goes back into storage for the second time. I don’t think it minds, as it just adds to its longevity.

Raul had to head up to Lake Tahoe with family, and my young buddy Charles had family stuff as well in San Jose. So it was just me and the pool, and pizza topped with prawns, a quasi-Caesar-salad and a fine red wine. How nice!

Pizza and prawns hold a special place for me and my sweetheart, as that is our food of choice about anywhere in the world. I thought of her all day, and the wonderful, joyous times we had in this house. I miss her and will miss this special place.

Pizza and Prawns – Busan – Rome – Anywhere!

Well, flying in America is hell these days, and will be in the foreseeable future – unless one takes drastic measures to make it not so. My flight to Houston leaves at 12:30 a.m., and I just checked into a Sacramento airport hotel, with the intent to sleep for six hours before the flight. Then hopefully sleep again for three more on the plane, as I confirmed my 1st Class seat.

Why? When I get into Querétaro tomorrow at noon I will be expected to support the fuselage build for six hours. It’s OK, as look at all that quality I will be getting while in route!

I am clean-cut from California now – but so, so attached. I will be back! This will be my new home! When I return there will be no need to leave again (except of course to explore the world a bit). Good night!

Update from Houston at 7:00 a.m. – the sleep trick worked – I feel fine – can’t wait to get out of this Texas humidity into the cool Mexican high-country.

Update from Querétaro at 7:00 p.m. – I’m home in Mexico and boy will I sleep well tonight!
