No Holiday for Me (but we had a great community picnic)

It seems if you want the pros to put together a website for you it costs $5,000 minimum, and then they do it in such a way that they are the only ones that can do future edits/updates. Key word these days is “responsive” which only means that the site will look fairly good not only on a computer monitor, but a tablet and smartphone as well – granted they will look “dumbed down” but the text will be readable.

Well $5K keeps me alive and fed for about two months, so I will go it alone. I got one of the best responsive WordPress Themes called Canvas that works well the Woo Commerce, the app that powers 37% of all online stores. Given I don’t code and know little of CSS, I got a Plugin called Pootle Page Builder, which makes creating the new trend in responsive full framed image/video websites a breeze (so it thought).

Well it turns out one really needs a lot of experience in CSS and website design to create a responsive site. I finally created what I thought was a good first draft of OUR TEAM page, and it looked like crap on my iPhone. So back to the drawing board on the 4th of July (but I will grill some burgers & brats).
