Perfect Exit Back to the Ordinary World – Shopping Union Square

I’ve never seen such crowds – the line just to get in to the newly opened Uni Qlo went all the way around the block!

We finished our California holiday with a restful night and awesome breakfast buffet at the Marriott in Union Square (thank god for Marriott Points). The sun was out again and the hoards of beautiful shoppers was beyond imagination.

I opted for a few Levi’s 511’s and a couple of shirts at Macy’s. She – well some things are better left to remain unsaid.

Nike took over Union Square for a Woman’s marathon the following day and all the people wrapped around the square to pick up their marathon “aprons.” I could not believe the tolerance of the locals to wait in lines. In spite, we did not want to leave.

Back in Mexico now and the warm sun felt good. Everything feels normal here. It felt good to arrive home in Milenio Tres. I napped and then went shopping at Superama – opted for Johnsonville Italian Sausages with Classico spaghetti sauce adding sauteed mushrooms and artichoke hearts.

It’s back to the ordinary world again – but so sweet to have experienced the extraordinary! We will never forget the last week visiting Northern California at the best time of the year. Managed to get three litres of Napa Valley wine past customs!
