No cooking for you today – Ahi Tuna Salad and Humus Rolls with a Blueberry Wheat Beer

The morbid humidly of the mid-Atlantic is finally dissipating to a degree where I can open the front and back door and allow a cool breeze to flow through the house to shut off the damn air conditioning for the night. Normally that works, but last night a few mosquitoes slipped by and terrorized me just enough to have one of those not-hardly-enough-sleep nights.

So the weekend was pretty much wasted. I decided, early on, that I was doing no work of any sort. That included cooking.

So about noon I migrated to the Rudy Duck, the only real eating establishment nearby. They dumbed-down their incredible seafood Sunday brunch, as likely they were losing money on it (unlimited oyster bar) and cut all their phenomenal specials. Oh well, I did not care and ordered an ahi tuna salad and humus rolls with a blueberry wheat beer. It was good.

The other guests in the place seemed overwhelmingly to be ordering the deep-fried crap of seafood, hush puppies and sweet potato fries. Unbelievable!

My Only Local Escape!

I got home, lounged on the beach for a time, and, as planned, did a little exploration in a potential commercial rental for the new launch of composites-by-design ideas lab.

Before I knew it, it was 7:00 p.m., so I switched on the tube and watched a 60 Minutes repeat of the sarin gas attacks in Syria. It was heart wrenching and just so fucking unbelievable. After that there was nothing but crap on TV (as is the norm) so I switched to Netflix.

Rosewater, a film by John Stewart, popped up in my recommended list. Finally, I thought, a good film to watch to end this worthless weekend.

It was well worth it and highly recommended. The horrors in this world are beyond comprehension.

Ironically, with ISIS and illegals now the center of American’s attention, none of this hardly matters. 400,000 Americans die every year because of the crap they eat. Meanwhile Ted Cruz is flipping pork burgers while defending his hatred of gays.

I sure hope I sleep tonight!
