I might be violating copyright here, but so few visit this site, I will risk it. Without question this is a cool product, but it has the two flaws that I want to avoid: ridiculously high price offered by famous design house. Clearly there’s a market for this stuff, and they don’t have to sell many to turn a small profit.

Often these things are designed to simply promote the designer or brand, like the outrageous garb seen on high-end fashion industry catwalks. Yet given the 1% is growing globally, this may be a smart business move.

Of course when we relaunch Composites-By-Design (or its newly branded name) in Las Vegas later this year, we still want to focus on affordable and portable.
