One of the most memorable road trips I ever took was from Napoli to the Alenia site near Grottaglie in Southern Italy. It was an amazing waste of Boeing resources, where dozens came with airfare alone costing $10,000 per person. I, maybe spent, $100 on petrol.
For reasons totally unknown to me, my journey took me through Trulli region in Puglia. It blew me away; I will never forget it!
To this day, I have seen nothing like it. My only regret is not spending more time here. I only have 69 photos and did not have any contact with the locals. Perhaps I need to revisit?
