Wagyu Burger, Béarnaise Sauce, Arugula on Brioche Bun with Nebraska Mushrooms

So this is a Kobe beef burger that can’t be called a Kobe beef burger because Kobe beef is from Japan. But the local cows that contributed to this burger are all Kobe cows, or more precisely, their great, great, great, grandparents were Kobe cows.

My one mistake – I should have ordered it rare (or the cook should have provided it actually medium rare as I ordered it). No matter, for a 15 buck burger it was very good.

I’ve been catching the CNN episodes of “The 70s”, as I am stuck in a hotel for a time. Interestingly hell was alive and well back then – with serial killers vs. mass killers making the news, and homegrown terrorist (think Weather Underground) vs. Islamic terrorists.

Frankly I seemed to be oblivious to the horrors of the 1970’s, as I was having the time of my life (and struggling to survive it).

Bottom line: nothing has changed, except the fact that there are billions of more people now than then. And the human race as a whole, is better than it ever was. It’s hard to believe, but that’s simply the way it is. I have no clue if that trend will continue, but it likely will.

I am heading back home to Maryland in a few days to finalize some CFRP prototypes, and that is just fine with me. Dazzling stuff in the pipeline!
