A Dead Community

A Dead Community

When I first moved here to Potomac Beach life was fun in the summer. The community had grand picnics throughout the summer, and I actually knew most of my neighbors.

There are but a few originals left; many of the folks who have 2nd homes here are no-shows, and I don’t have a clue who they are. The HOA voted to cancel the summer picnics. It’s a good time to plan my leave.

After I left the Boeing 787 Program, I took a year off (much deserved) and had a chance to play in my little photo studio. I did odd stuff. It would have been great to have beautiful models to shoot like I did in LA in the ‘80’s (just found the well-preserved negatives for future posts), but I shot what was at hand.

Anyway, I’m just venting, as it was a boring way to start the summer and the bugs are back. The brisk nightly winds of the Potomac, at least, are energizing.
