Local Santa Clara Cuisine

Local Santa Clara Cuisine

I needed some heat this weekend, knowing when Silicon Valley heads to the beach, there’s stress-free exploring of the Valley. Santa Clara is San Jose’s little elite sister, but home to California’s first university, Intel and Levi’s Stadium.

I’m attending an obscure technology conference – with free entry & parking. But no free food.

Directly across the university is Mango. It looks decades old, but has loyal locals waiting. My lunch was perfect in every way, right down to all the drama mid-afternoon.

Today – The Fish Market

As stated, they sell fresh fish – right in the heart of Silicon Valley. Locals of all kinds come here. The prices are moderate, and the seafood is fresh and not farmed.

Now back in my hotel, sad to hear another senseless mass-shooting in Gilroy at the annual garlic festival. I was hoping to go, but came here instead.
