Merry Christmas from Saint Mary’s County, Maryland

A tradition in St. Mary’s County is to take a drive through Flat Iron Farm on Christmas Eve

Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Men – the phrase has been morphed from the original over the eons – but seems appropriate in this age. Of course peace and good will are in short supply across the globe, and sadly, even here in the US. But at this time we renew and hope – so let it be so.

One has to wonder when lights became a Christmas Tradition?

I hope those tens of thousands without power tonight throughout New England and Michigan are making the best of it. Perhaps for them Christmas can simply be delayed.

As such lights certainly contribute to the “magic” of Christmas

In any event, I wish all my friends and fellow humans around the globe a Merry Christmas!
