Nice to have a Backup Shelter

Power went off early last evening in my home in Pacific Grove while the winds howled relentlessly. No worries as I slept quite well with the city lights darkened.

This morning I checked the security cameras in my small shop and wow, I still had power there. So I hit the road. The normal 10 minute commute took over an hour with Del Monte Blvd shut down due to trees blocking the road.

In Seaside, I stopped for provisions. I warmed the chill out of the shop with a few electric heaters. I have got internet, cable, food, wine and a whole weekend to go nowhere. No expectations to have power back home until Sunday and I don’t care a bit.
