Pacific Grove — My New Home

Joby has been keeping me busy during the week, but at about 5 p.m. every Friday my world turns to exploring my new home (and cleaning up 30 years of stuff now in my shop).

I found a new apartment (rare) one block from Lighthouse Avenue in the historic downtown center. It’s a five-minute walk to Lover’s Point (pictured) and Car Week is coming.

I have a hardware store, grocery, BMW mechanic and three-dozen restaurants with 5 minutes by foot.

There are some negatives: lots of seagulls and cloudy mornings. Average high temperature this time of year is 68 F. Of course, that is perfect for walking or biking.

It is so nice to shop locally.

I am totally hooked on the fresh squeezed orange juice at the Grove Market
