Prepping for House Guests – De-cluttering the Kitchen

Joby Aero is on-boarding new people so fast, several folks have as me if I can provide temporary housing to new engineering hires. It’s not my style to have roommates, but my master suite is well segregated from the other bedrooms, and I plan to spend much more time in my shop. So, I may give it a try for a few weeks to offset the insane cost of rent here.

First step is de-cluttering the entire house, starting with the kitchen. I started by buying some inexpensive “Stone” Cookware. When I arrived back in California back in 2018, I had picked up some pricey Misen Cookware on sale—both their non-stick and stainless-steel pans. Clearly the non-stick was junk as both pans blistered. They are going in the trash. The steel pans are holding up far better, but not great for everyday use. Those will be moved to my galley in the shop. Exciting stuff – huh?
