The Gentrification of the Kinderdijk Windmills

The Gentrification of the Kinderdijk Windmills

Built in the 1700’s, these windmills served a dual purpose: grind grain and pump out excess water from a land that is below sea level.

They now serve as homes to affluent Hollanders who convent them into multi-level livings spaces.

For me, just a wonderful slice of life in a world that I have seen too little of.

The quest to travel is undying.
