Three NIKKOR Z f/1.8 S-Line Prime Lenses

Three NIKKOR Z f/1.8 S-Line Prime Lenses

I decided last year not to buy any new camera gear, and instead setup the music studio in the shop mezzanine. I did that for less than the price of one new mirrorless camera body and have only one regret: no proper time to practice on all that musical and recording gear (it will come).

Photographers universally love these new prime lenses for their low light capabilities, sharpness and of course that outstanding “bokeh” (soft background focus).

I first bought the 85mm as it is the “classic” focal length for portraits. Yet I needed something a bit wider in my small shop, so I got the 50mm. I will use it for video in the shop. Today I added the 20mm, and that is it—that is all I need, but the S-line also includes a 24mm and 35mm.

Nikon Hype: “The premium S-Line lenses blends optical ingenuity and artistic nuance. Flattering perspective. Breathtaking resolution. Stunning bokeh. Unwavering focus and lifelike accuracy compensation. This 85mm lens will thrill and inspire those who shoot portraits, headshots, close-ups and tight video shots.”
