Summer Reading

I was paging through Flipboard (my favorite iPad app) and came across a snippet about the July 14th release of Go Set a Watchman – Harper Lee’s lost novel that was written before To Kill a Mockingbird – but involves the characters twenty years later.

At whim, I downloaded Mockingbird to see if it could hold my attention. After a few pages, I was drawn into another world; each paragraph meanders you deeper in.

It seems in today’s world there’s little time for reading a classic – actual reading is so 20th Century after all. Anyway, I’m glad I followed my whim; Mockingbird’s characters will be fresh in my mind by the July 14th release of Watchman.

Amazon gets my money twice. Maybe next I’ll cancel cable!
