Sunday’s incredible lightning storm of 11,000 strikes set off hundreds of fires in its path. Joby Aero’s home in Bonny Doon (top yellow circle) and its quarry operation have been evacuated. Zero containment on the nearby fire, so who knows what tomorrow will be like.

For me, the River Fire that I pictured from my front door (bottom yellow circle) heads east and away, and the coastal marine layer has cooled us off. Just smoky skies for days ahead. Ah Nature.
